Flood Wall Training Exercise 06/27/09

Although beautiful, the floodwall serves a much more important purpose than simply a backdrop for art.
Before beginning the daunting process of erecting the flood wall, Pastor Rudder greaciously opened his church to serve the firemen breakfast.

Holes in the road, which are patched when not in use, must be dug out for the i-beams to be secured.

Now that the iron beams are in position for their erection, it's time to move out the wood timbers.

The timbers are lined up at the north end of the flood wall.
A much needed break is taken before the next phase begins.
