Nice site. Check out fortmitchellfiredept.com I'm glad I don't have to fight fire's in the snow! But then again 95 degree's and 90 percent humidity is not exactly fun either!

Hey guys its been about 2 years since i was in explorers and now i'm an active fire fighter with North Fayette VFD in Oakdale, PA. I am glad to see while i'm up here protecting the community you guys are there with a new truck, and you got the squad back to protect my family still in wellsville. Hopefully see you guys next year at the homecoming and this summer at the Italian Fest. Good Luck with everything and keep up the great work.

I discovered this site tonight and it has brought back wonderful memories. I spent the first 20 years of my life in Wellsville (l940-l960) and my dad -- John Fulton -- was a volunteer fireman there for most of those years, and I was always very proud of that. As a child, I always loved the picnics, the Christmas parties at the old fire station, the minstrel shows. and, most of all, the homecoming. Can still see my mother making big pots of sloppy-joe for the WFD to sell at their concession stand at the homecoming, and when I was older, I "waitressed" there. It was a wonderful way to grow up...really like a big, extended family.

Even though I don't recognize any names on the current roster, I just want to thank you guys for carrying on the tradition of protecting and serving your community. And I'm sure your children are very proud of you, too.

Excellent web site displaying the working folk and their rolling stock.

Our rural Fire Service is small with a 300 square mile area of responsibility. All are volunteers, including the Chief.

I'm firefighter support and medical first responder.

Be careful on the fire-ground. All Go Home.

Jim
