The DeBees and Smiths have been friends since the 40s.

My family moved permanently to Florida in 1954.
I had worked in the plumbing end of construction in Steubenville.
Harold Milligan and I went to Miami in 1953 and worked on Miami Beach roughing in bungalows.
I fell in love with the South and moved to Saint Petersburg right after our 4th child in 54.

Plumbing and fitting wasn't really great so during a 1959 Plumbers strike I joined the Saint Petersburg Fire Department. Been retired over 27 years. I loved every minute fighting fires and saving lives but there is nothing like RETIREMENT.
I was part of the group that started our underwater rescue team.

Through knowing the Wellsville Fire Chief Wm.Smith I was sent via e-mail the fire department web site.THANKS BILL, tell your dad that I am verey proud of you.

WHAT A FANTASTIC JOB Y'ALL HAVE DONE WITH THIS SITE.
